I am originally from Liverpool in the UK but we lived most recently in the North East of England in a town called Billingham.  Although on the opposite side of the country to Liverpool, it is only a 2-hour drive away!  My wife and I have 2 daughters; Belle who is 9 and Rosie who is 5.  We have all made the move to North Carolina and are looking forward to experiencing life in Sneads Ferry and beyond.

Education

I graduated from Teesside University in the UK with a degree in Sport & Exercise Science and several years later I completed my teaching qualification (PGCE) at York St John University. I am also part-way through a Masters-level certificate in Educational Leadership.

Experience

I have taught in the UK for six years at 2 primary schools and have taught classes the equivalent of 2nd - 7th Grade.  School organization is somewhat different in the UK and in my most recent school I was also Subject Coordinator for PE and Computing.  

I am teaching in North Carolina with Global Teaching Partners, an organization who aim to give children high quality cultural experiences by supporting international teachers in North Carolina.
