Jamie Darsey

Hello, I am so excited to be a part of the Pirate family! I have been in education for about 8 years and a mother for 24 years. We have lived all over, from California to Washington, DC to Okinawa, Japan...every place the Marine Corps decided they needed us. 

I have been married to my wonderful husband for the last 19 years and we are lucky to call Swansboro, NC our forever home. We love the small town, beach life. For myself, being by the water brings me peace and clarity. 

We have 4 boys ranging from age 8-23. Dyllan, Damyan, Dallas and Dawson....we had to stick with the cheesy "D names." LOL. One of the boys in Swansboro High and the other one at our fabulous Swansboro Elementary. 

I believe students learn the best when they are actively engaged in their own learning.. I look forward to encouraging growth and enhancing their lifelong love for learning.
