Degrees and Certifications:
Hello! My name is Angela Hair. I am originally from southwestern Pennsylvania but have lived in North Carolina since 2017. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in English from West Virginia University and my Master of Arts in Teaching - Special Education degree from Western Carolina University.
During graduate school, I was selected to participate in Project InterACT, a grant-funded interprofessional program consisting of special education, psychology, and speech-language pathology students. The program focused on interdisciplinary collaboration to enhance the quality of service provided to individuals with autism and intellectual disabilities. I also participated in the most recent cohort of the Rural Teacher Leader Network, a group of teachers selected from throughout eastern NC who aim to strengthen their leadership skills and trauma- and equity-informed practices.
In my spare time I enjoy baking, yoga, going to the beach, watching sports (Go Mountaineers!) and documentaries, reading, and spending time with my friends, family, and cat. This is my first year at HCMS and I'm excited to be here!
