Hello, my name is Jill Huryn and I teach 4th grade at Carolina Forest International Elementary! I grew up in Pennsylvania and received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Psychology from Lock Haven University.  I taught for 12 years in Philadelphia Schools grades 2-5. While teaching, I earned my Master’s in Education Leadership from Cabrini College.  I then took off 5 years to stay at home with my three children and help my husband grow our business.  I recently taught for 2 years as a reading interventionalist in grades K-2. 

I am a new resident of North Carolina.  After making this area a vacation spot since 2006, my husband and I decided we wanted to be permanent residents and raise our children here.  I am a huge beach person but enjoy most outdoor activities with my family (especially our bike rides exploring new places). 

I am really thrilled to be an Eagle and look forward to a fantastic school year!
