Mrs. Kristin Burfeind
Although I was born in Maryland, I attended high school and college in Colorado. I graduated from Colorado State University with a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, and then promptly moved to Japan. I completed my first Masters degree in Education through the University of Phoenix while living in Japan and became a math teacher. From 2007 through 2019, I taught every level of secondary math from sixth grade through College Algebra. Part of that time was spent in Japan and part of that time was spent in Virginia. In between teaching, I had two kids and did a lot of traveling across three continents. In 2019, I moved to Italy, where I did more traveling and earned a second masters degree in Physics Education. Since then, I have also been teaching science classes. I am excited to be teaching Earth and Environmental Science and Physical Science at Dixon this year!!
