Mr. Hunter

Hello Clear View Cubs!!

Every child deserves a champion—an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists that they become the best that they can possibly be.

– Rita Pierson

My name is Ronald Hunter, and I am going to be your first-grade teacher this year! I am excited about getting to know all of you this school year! I hope you are just as excited!

This will be my second year teaching first grade at CVES. Before I started at CVES, I completed my teaching internship in a second-grade classroom at Richlands Elementary, and after graduating, I was a long-term substitute in third grade at the same school.

I have lived in the Richlands area for most of my life, except for two years when I lived in Asheville and Raleigh. I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Social Work in May 2018 and then in December 2021, I graduated with my master’s degree in Elementary Education. I obtained both degrees from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. I have always had a passion for working with, and for, children and their families!
I have two older sisters, one niece, and three nephews. I also have a chihuahua, Maxwell, and he is 11 years old.
When I am not at school I love to read, be out in nature, and hang out with my family and friends.

Again, I cannot wait to meet all of you in person!
