Haylee Harp

My name is Haylee Harp and I am so excited about being your child's teacher this year! I look forward to making the 2023-2024 school year a fun-filled year of growth and learning!

This will be my fourth year as a teacher. I spent my first three years teaching 2nd grade. This will be my first year at Stateside and I am excited to be a part of the Patriot family. Fun fact: my high school mascot was also a Patriot and our school colors were red, white, and blue...so this will be a full circle moment for me!

I hold a current NC K-6 License, a California K-6 License with an EL endorsement, and a 1st-8th License with DoDEA. My first two years teaching were spent teaching 2nd grade overseas aboard NSA Naples in Italy with DoDEA. Last year I taught 2nd grade at Clear View Elementary here in Onslow County. Prior to becoming a teacher, I was a 1st grade Special Education Paraeducator and K-12 substitute teacher. I have wanted to be a teacher since I was in first grade, and my dream came true!

I am originally from Orange County, California and a Southern California girl at heart, but NC is quickly becoming a second home. I graduated with my B.S. in Child and Adolescent Development and teaching credential from California State University, Fullerton. My greatest educational achievement was graduating from college a year early. My husband is in the Marine Corps and we have been stationed at Camp Pendleton, NSA Naples, Italy, and now here at MCAS New River. Outside of work, I love going to the beach, country music, traveling, hiking, and health and fitness.

I cannot wait to build our classroom family and have a wonderful year in 5th grade! I look forward to building positive, lasting relationships with you and your child!
