Mr. Jeremiah Williams
Hello to All,
My name is Coach Williams, and I am happy to have the opportunity to introduce myself. I am originally from Los Angeles, California. I also lived in Massachusetts and Pennsylvania before moving to North Carolina. We now live in Holly Ridge. I have been married to my beautiful bride since 2006, and we have been blessed with 3 children. Our children are also in the Dixon school district.
After graduating from Los Angeles Woodrow Wilson High School, I attended multiple colleges and universities. Being a collegiate football player, I have had the opportunity to play for and attend Fresno State University, Mount San Antonio Junior College, and the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. After completing my bachelors degree in Sociology at UMASS, Amherst, I worked in an after-school program in Los Angeles, where I assisted elementary students with homework, game-play, and provided supervision. I then moved to Pennsylvania, where I began working as a counselor and was promoted to assistant treatment team supervisor, working with children in crises. I then attended Lehigh Carbon Community College, where I earned my Associate Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant. I worked for 14 years as a Physical Therapist Assistant, working in multiple settings. I primarily worked in nursing homes, short-term and long-term rehab. I also have experience in the hospital and home therapy setting.
I have a passion for coaching, which has inspired me to switch careers, and join Dixon Middle School as a Physical Education and Health Teacher/Coach. . My passion for coaching developed from being a part of sports since the age of 5, and experiencing a variety of collegiate coaches. I have experience in coaching youth basketball and football from 3rd grade to high school. I am looking forward to coaching the students of Dixon Middle School, and becoming a part of this community.
