Hello! I'm Kayla Nunnery and I am originally from Bladenboro, NC. I have a three-year-old aussie shepherd/ husky mix named Piper. I enjoy traveling, caring for my plants and kayaking. I also enjoy spending time with friends and family during my free time. I completed my teaching internship through the Watson College of Education at UNCW, where I taught 3rd grade and earned my BA in Elementary Education. Prior to my experience with UNCW, I worked for two years at a child development center, where I gained experience caring for children ranging from the ages of infant- 5 years. I will be teaching 2nd grade this school year and I'm incredibly delighted to meet everyone within our learning community. I look forward to having a wonderful year.
