Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education at UNCW

Ms. Glenda Brown

I am a native of Pender County. I grew up in Maple Hill and attended Duplin County Schools. I currently reside in Chinquapin with my two daughters. My oldest is a UMO graduate and has pursued a career in agriculture at Johnson Nursery in Willard. My youngest is a senior at Duplin Early College High School and will graduate in the spring with her high school diploma as well as an Associate Degree. We are also members of Maple Hill Baptist Church, where we are actively engaged in many activities. We enjoy going to the beach, traveling and spending time with our family and friends.

I am very excited about this year. I am passionate about teaching and I love working with elementary age children. It is my prayer that my students are motivated to be the best learners that they can be!!!

Experience:

I have been teaching for 14 years and have taught in both Onslow and Duplin counties. I taught Kindergarten for 3 years at Hunters Creek Elementary before becoming a stay-at-home mom. I resumed my teaching career at Chinquapin Elementary when my children began school. This is my tenth year teaching first grade. I taught 2 years at Rose Hill Magnolia before transferring back to Onslow County. Meadow View has been my home for the past 9 years.
