Mr. Luis Cisneros

Hello Bears Family!

I am thrilled to be on the faculty at New Bridge Middle School this year. This is my first year teaching in Onlsow County, but I am born and bred here in Jacksonville, NC. I graduated from Jacksonville High School in 2012, but I was unsure of what to do next. Having played soccer my whole life, I headed to Germany in 2015 to attend the IFX program. While this was an unforgettable experience, I decided to return home where I coached U14 and U7 boys academy soccer for OCSA and JASA for the next four years.

When COVID halted the world, I realized it was a good time for me to go back to school. I found an online program with Full Sail University, and I knew this was just right for me. I grew up playing tons of video games such as Minecraft, Super Mario, and Legend of Zelda. Video gaming has always been an important part of my life. Upon graduation in February 2023 with a Bachelors of Science in Game Design, I was looking for employment that would allow me to use my degree. I realized that teaching was an area in great need of dedicated and passionate individuals, so I felt that my education and experience could be of use in this field. I am incredibly thankful to serve in this important role. 

I am fortunate to have a wonderfully supportive family in life. I have an amazing significant other, who is also a teacher. She encourages and guides me daily in this journey. We raise two children together, Jack (10) and Grace (7). We also have three cats, Panther, Persephone, and Paxton. (Yes, we know that's a lot!) Whenever we can, we like to go to the beach or pool. We also like to have family movie night and play board games like Monopoly and Exploding Kittens. When I have my own time, my hobbies include golfing, watching soccer or Formula 1 racing, and playing video games. 

I can't wait for this wonderful year at New Bridge!
