Preston Moore

Hello Everyone!

My name is Preston Moore and I will be your Foundations of NC Math 1 teacher this year.

I am a 2010 graduate of Washington and Jefferson College where I earned a B.A. in Accounting and History. For the last ten years, I have been working as a Risk Analyst, providing support for one of the leading global tech giants. Throughout my career I have worked heavily in analytics and have applied experience with a number of mathematical concepts ranging from probability and statistics and linear algebra, to discrete math and predictive modeling.

I'm happily married and have an eight-year-old son and brand new baby daughter. In my spare time I enjoy fishing, completing STEM projects with my son, and watching any available food show on Netflix with my wife. I am an avid music enjoyer and could quite possibly be addicted to Spotify. I enjoy playing all sports, but soccer is my favorite and I take every opportunity I can to kick around.

I have a passion for knowledge and I am always trying to learn something new. I hope to share that passion with all of my students this year as we work together to achieve success in math.
