Mrs. Amy K. Mills

Welcome to Dixon Middle! I am excited about being here full time this year and look forward to getting to know each of you. This will be my ninth-year teaching in Onslow County Schools and my first year back full time after staying home to raise and school my own kids. I tutored for the last two years at DMS so you may have seen me around. I am an Eastern NC girl through and through and I love our beautiful “neck of the woods.” I was raised in Richlands, went to college in Utah, married a marine, and we have made Onslow County our home. I have three children who are busy doing wonderful things. Matthew is a senior at UNC-Chapel Hill. Go Tarheels! Emma is finishing her associates at CCCC before heading to UNCW, and Ben is a freshman at Dixon High School.  The things I enjoy most are reading, cooking, gardening, and my latest obsession is breadmaking and sourdough starters. I am passionate about being a positive force in the lives of my students and look forward to exploring great literature with you.
