• Hello all! My name is Sheana Minott and I’m the Exceptional Children’s (EC) teacher for 8th grade students. Welcome to my classroom. I am honored to join the Dixon Middle School team. Let me share a little about myself.

I am originally from Bronx, New York. I am married to a wonder man who is a United States Marine. We have two boys ages 14 and 12 who keep us busy. But I still find time to do things I enjoy such as traveling with my family, reading, roller derby, cross stitching, and park skate.

I graduated from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in 2007. Years later I found my passion in working with children which lead me to obtain my MA in Education (specializing in special education) from Ashford University in 2016. I have 10 years of teaching experience which has provided me with an understanding of instructional strategies, curriculum development, and student assessment practices. I am a life-long learner and believe education is key no matter how old you are. I hope to make strides in the education field. This has led me to work towards my PhD in Special Education.

I am looking forward to being your teacher. GO BULLDOGS!
