Degrees and Certifications:
BA in Early Childhood Education Reading Recovery Certification
Miss Kelley Nagy
I graduated from Mount Union College in Alliance, Ohio in May 2007 with my BA. My major was Early Childhood Education and my minor was Sociology. I am licensed to teach grades Pre-K through 6. I also have earned my Reading Recovery certification through UNCW.
This is my thirteenth year teaching and my fourth year in second grade. I look forward to having a new group of students (in a new classroom) to grow as learners.
In the past, I have received an award for Technology Teacher of the Year and Global Teacher of the Year. I also was honored to represent Morton as Teacher of the Year 2016-2017.
I enjoy using technology in the classroom and creating things just for our students. I am involved in our school and have served on the following committees: School Leadership team, PBIS committee, Digital Army and Yearbook. For several years I have coached Girls on the Run (for 4th-5th grade girls) in the Spring.
During college I logged hundreds of hours teaching various grades and ages. I also have tutored students of various ages in math and language arts. In the summers, I council at a camp designed for students who are at a disadvantage ages 7-12. When I am in Ohio I volunteer with our local Kiwanis on many community projects.
