Our adaptive class operates a dynamic business called Bulldog Bites, specializing in crafting dog toys from recycled materials. Through Bulldog Bites, our students engage in hands-on learning experiences that foster essential interpersonal skills like communication, creativity, self-confidence, and problem-solving. As part of our curriculum, students delve into all aspects of running a business, including inventory management, cash-flow oversight, and honing technical skills related to toy production. Twice a year, we have Enterprise Showcases where students from various adaptive and employment prep classes, including Bulldog Bites, display their creations. These vibrant events, often held at local high schools like White Oak or Jacksonville High School, celebrate the students' accomplishments and provide a platform to showcase their talents and creations. The proceeds generated by Bulldog Bites are directed back into our EC Department, enabling us to enhance learning experiences by providing supplies, organizing fun activities like pizza parties, facilitating enriching field trips, and more. Join us in supporting our students' growth and empowerment through Bulldog Bites!
