I was born in Pensacola, Florida. However I have lived most of my life in Jacksonville. My father was a pilot in the Marine Corps, so we bounced around quite a bit. Altogether, I attended a total of eight different schools! I am married to my high school sweetheart, Clark, who graduated from Southwest High School. I graduated from Jacksonville High School.
I have two children; Ashleigh, age 27 and Courtney, age 24. They are both graduates of Richlands High School. Ashleigh is mom to Mason (seven) and Jaxon (two). Ashleigh has a degree in Medical Coding, and is currently living in Arizona with her husband and children. Courtney has recently graduated from Liberty University and is working locally as a Mental Health Care Provider. Through the years, we have spent much time on soccer and softball fields. I really miss that family time as my girls have become older. However, I am looking forward to watching Mason and Jaxon on the ball field. New update: We will be welcoming a new grandaughter, Olivia, Christmas 2019! Courtney and her husband, Kody, are expecting their first child.
Other than the ball field, I would rather be on the beach with a good book. I love books and music from many genres and would love to pass that along to my students. My hobbies include running and outdoor adventures. I have run several marathons, half-marathons, and Ultra races. I enjoy hiking, rafting, tubing, water sports, and zip-lining.
We have been members of Harris Creek Missionary Baptist Church for twenty-one years. We enjoy participation in many church activities and events
