Mrs. Katelyn Williams

Hello Richlands Elementary Family! My name is Katelyn Williams and I am one of your Physical Education teachers. I am a Jacksonville native and attended Northwoods Elementary, Northwoods Park Middle School and Jacksonville High School.  After graduating from ECU in December of 2006 I returned home and started my teaching career at Trexler Middle School.  At TMS I worked as a Health and PE Teacher. I was the Athletic Director and coached several sports. In 2014 I transferred to Northwoods Elementary and enjoyed working there until the end of the '17-'18 school year.

Teaching Physical Education is something I have always wanted to do. I have great memories of PE and playing sports from my childhood. I love that I get to teach students about being healthy while playing games.  The goal for my students is that they leave my class having been as active as possible and having learned something new about how their bodies work or about another health topic.  I enjoy incorporating other subjects the students study in my classroom activities as well.

I am married to a wonderful guy named Joe. We have two children, Caston and Eva Grace and big golden retriever named Berkley. We love to go camping whenever we are able!

I am so excited to be on #TeamRES. Everyday is a great day in the gym at Richlands Elementary School!
