Mrs. Megan Batchelor

My name is Megan Batchelor, I graduated from Richlands High School. During my junior and senior year, I shadowed the Lead Exceptional Teacher for my job ready class. As I attended college I worked in Onslow County for two years as a substitute teacher. I completed a Bachelor of Arts in Special Education at University of North Carolina Wilmington. Upon graduating from college I married by best friend. We have a son who is full of love, energy and enthusiasm!

I started my teaching career in Lenoir County as a Serious Emotionally Disabled Teacher at Banks Elementary.  After working at Banks for two years I began working at Richlands Primary School. I have worked at RPS as an Exceptional Children’s resource teacher for the past four years, the 2017-2018 school year will be my fifth year at RPS. I am currently serving as Lead EC Teacher and have done so for the past three years.  Since working as an educator I have been recognized as Student Support Educator of the Year (2016-2017), I have been recognized as Teacher of the Year (2017-2018), and I have been the Lead EC Teacher at RPS for the past 3 years. I am very excited to be working in the community that gave so much to me when I was younger.
