Mrs. Randi Brinson
I was born and raised in North Carolina, actually attending school k-12 here in Richlands. I am a tried and true Wildcat. I love our community and the fact that I get to not only work with students in the classroom, but see them and their families out and about. My students are truly my kids and watching them grow and learn not only in the 2nd grade but through their educational career is the best. I am married to my high school sweetheart, Eric, and we have 3 wonderful kiddos; Darby, Delaney, and Tanner. Tanner is going into 9th grade this year and is a Wildcat at Richlands High School. Delaney is going to be a junior this year at RHS and plays volleyball. Darby is a college sophmore this year. She is attending University of North Carolina at Greensboro and hoping to attend nursing school. We live on a farm in Richlands and love horses. On our farm we have chickens, goats, horses, two donkeys, and 4 dogs. When I am not at school, I can usually be found at a ballpark somewhere watching my kids play. Tanner loves all sports, but his favorites are football and baseball. He plays travel baseball for Coastal Elite South Baseball and football on the RHS jv team, which keeps us on the road a lot. Both of my girls were all star cheerleaders for many years and are great tumblers. Delaney is also an avid horse rider. She competes in local rodeo's as a barrel racer. I am an avid reader and hope to show my students just how fun and rewarding reading can be. I love to shop and hang out with my family. A few of my favorite things are Diet Dr. Pepper, cashews, Reeses peanut butter cups and holidays. My classroom is decorated with bright colors and animal print- because animal print is my favorite color!
My professional mission statement: As a second-grade teacher I will be an energetic, motivated leader in my school and community. I hope to recognize each child's differences and guide them to embrace their individuality. My perfect world is a place where children laugh, play, and explore while learning.
This is my 11th year of teaching and I have taught 1st, 4th, and 2nd grade.
