Welcome to 3rd grade! I am so excited for the 2022-2023 school year! We are going to have an awesome year!

I was born and raised in Jacksonville, NC. I currently still live in Jacksonville with my husband Brad, my son CJ and my daughter Anna. We have a cat named Cynn and my husband dreams of owning a corgi, so I'll have to keep you all posted on that one.  As a family we spend a lot of time together, whether it is playing outside or at the park, going to hockey games (Go Canes!) or playing board games.

I received my BA in Elementary Education from UNCW in 2008 and also completed the MA in Mathematics certificate cohort in January of 2022. 

This will be my 10th year of teaching and my 1st year here at Parkwood Elementary. I welcome and value parent involvement throughout the year, so please feel free to always contact me. As a teacher and a mother, I know how valuable time is. I will do my best to respond to you the same day, but please allow 24 hours for a response. Class Dojo is the method I use for contact, so please make sure you have the app downloaded. I have it on my phone to allow for quicker communication as well.
