A little about myself...

Hello! My name is Amanda (Mandie) Kight, and I am the Digital Learning and Teaching Facilitator at Blue Creek Elementary this year!  This will be my 11th year in education and my first year as a DLTF!  I am so excited to work with the staff and students at BCE and support their use of technology in the classroom!

I married my husband Brent in October 2014. He is originally from Jacksonville and was eager to move back to this area when the opportunity presented itself in April 2016. We welcomed our first child, Emersyn Claire, in April 2019 and we added our son, Beckett Taylor, to our family in January 2021!

My Education Background:

I attended Gardner-Webb University on a full academic scholarship, and I graduated from the School of Education in May 2012.

Major: Elementary Education

Minors: Professional Education and General Science

Senior Scholastic Award recipient for graduating with a 4.0 GPA

I am currently pursuing my MAEd in Instructional Technology at East Carolina University and will graduate in December 2022.
