Mrs. Fish

Hello!

Welcome to First Grade at Swansboro Elementary School. My name is Mrs. Fish. I am so excited about working with you this year! 

A little about me: I am a true “Carolina Girl”. I got my bachelor’s degree from East Carolina University (Go Pirates!) and went on to complete my Master’s Degree at Grand Canyon University. I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Roy, for 26 years and we share a very energetic, outgoing daughter, Jillian, who is starting SBHS this year (goodness time flies). I have lived in North Carolina my entire life however, I have traveled around a bit thanks to the Marine Corps (but don't worry, my husband is now happily retired). In our free time we enjoy spending time with our 4 French bulldogs, boating, beaching and exploring this beautiful place we get to call home! 

A little about my teaching career: This is my 20th year teaching and my 12th year teaching 1st grade (my favorite). My previous 8 years of teaching were in Kindergarten. My goal as a teacher is to foster an eagerness and excitement of learning for my students. I am a huge advocate for Class Dojo with my goal of keeping communication lines open for parents. I look forward to getting to know you this school year. Let's Go Pirates!
