Mr. King

University of South Carolina (2014-2016): BA in English 

I am originally from Pawleys Island, SC, and received a bachelor's degree in English from the University of South Carolina in 2016.

In the past, I have taught English I-III, coached boys' soccer, and served as a yearbook advisor. This will be my first year teaching at Swansboro High School after teaching at Dixon High School for five years.

My goal is to help promote growth in reading and writing so that students can use these skills as they further their education in the classroom and in the real world. I strive to foster a classroom environment that encourages growth, positivity, and respect.

I have been married for six years, and we have two wonderful, energetic daughters who are five and two years old. We enjoy watching our daughter's soccer games, spending time with family, cooking, and traveling during our free time. I also enjoy reading, fishing, and kayaking.
