I have a Bachelor's Degree in English and History from Appalachian State University. Go, Mountaineers!!!

 I obtained my teaching licensure in Secondary and Middle School Education from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2003 while working as a lateral entry teacher in Onslow County.

This is my nineteenth year at DHS and my twenty-third-year teaching in the Dixon community. I am teaching 12th Grade AVID, English IV, and AP English IV.  I am the JV football coach, a senior class advisor, and chair of the ENG DEPT. I love teaching and being a part of the "bulldog community. I pride myself on my rapport with my students both past and present. I look forward to meeting my students and their parents/guardians in the 2022/23 year.
