Mrs. Krystal Rochelle

I have lived in Onslow County my entire life.  I went to Dixon Elementary, Dixon Middle, and Dixon High School.  I attended UNCW and earned a batchelor's degree and master's degree in Elementary Education. I have been Nationally Board Certification as a Middle Childhood Generalist since 2000. I have taught second, third, fourth, and fifth grades.  I have taught at Northwoods Elementary, Southwest Elementary, Dixon Elementary, and Dixon Middle.  I earned an add-on licensure in School Leadership and Administration from East Carolina University in 2009.  This is my 28th year of teaching.   I am the mother of three girls-Carly, Cailyn, and Kelsey Grace. My husband and I both graduated from Dixon and we have graduated two of our daughters from Dixon High School.  Our family loves camping, boating, and sports.

  • Welcome to our class webpage! One thing you will soon learn about me is that I geniunely love working with children.  I have a passion for math and helping children catch the same passion.  I truly believe one of the most significant factors that determines a child's learning success is having a strong and respectful connection between home and school. The best way to communicate with me is through Class Dojo. Codes to join will be sent on your child's first face-to-face school day.  If you have  trouble joining please email me.  I have tremendous patience and ask the same of you especially as we venture into the uncharted waters of hybrid learning. At DMS, we have worked hard to put measures in place to carry out learning safely.  If mandates and governnment announcements force us to make a change, establishing a way to communicate (Class Dojo) and an awareness of the platform or app being used to deliver instruction (Microsoft Teams) are critical.
