This is my 19th year of teaching and my 14th year in 8th grade at DMS where I have taught Math, Language Arts, and Social Studies. Since 2018, I have been teaching just Math.

We moved to Sneads Ferry in 2004, after spending most of my life in the beautiful mountains of Boone, NC. My husband, David (a local paint contractor), and I have been married thirty-three years and are blessed with four children. Our son and 3 daughters all went through the DMS and DHS schools. Our oldest, Alex, works in the tech industry in San Francisco. Our oldest daughter, Aunika, owns a dance studio in Wilmington. Ashlind and her husband live in Branson, Missouri, where they both work in theatre. Addison recently graduated from The University of South Carolina. When I'm not involved in school activities, I enjoy reading, cycling, traveling, gardening, and quilting.
