Mrs. Traci Marshburn

 I am a Dixon Middle School and High School alumnus. I attended UNC-Chapel Hill and received my education degree from UNC-Wilmington. I love teaching at DMS because I believe we have an excellent faculty and staff and terrific students.  My parents, my husband, our two daughters and our son also graduated from Dixon High. We are a Dixon family for sure. My job is  extra fun for me because I get to work with my son, James "Trent" Marshburn, who will be teaching Drama/Theatre this year. I really enjoy teaching my students about ancient cultures and introducing them to new content.  When I am not busy teaching, I love to spend time with my family, especially my husband and our grandson, Silas.I have pet ducks that our family enjoys and I also like taking walks around our farm and fresh water fishing.
