​My name is Juanita Welford, and I am so glad to be part of your students academic growth. I have been an EC Teacher at Hunters Creek Middle for the past 5 years. Previously, I taught in Mecklenbury County. 

I grew up in Jacksonville, NC. I graduated from Jacksonville High School, and attended Appalachian State University, where I received a Bachelor's degree in Communication Disorders. I attended Pfiffer Universtiaty and rececied my Masters in Special Education. I've worked as a preschool, elementary and high school teacher in Charlotte, NC. 

I have one child who graduated from Jacksonville High School in 2018, and currently attends Meredith College. As a family, we enjoy spending time together, reading, going to the beach and any outdoors activities (hiking, camping).
