As a retired Marine with over 20 years of honorable service and originally from Saginaw, Michigan, I began my teaching career here at DMS from 2000-2004.  I transferred to Jacksonville Commons Middle School for a few years (2004-2018) but did return back to DMS for the 2018 school year.  I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a BA in Middle School Education.  I am certified to teach 6-12 Social Studies/History and 6-9 Language Arts.  I am currently the assistant coach for football, head coach for girls and boys soccer as well as boys track.  I am currently teaching 7th grade Social Studies.
