Bio
I am from New Bern, NC. I lived there with my grandparents and graduated from New Bern Senior High in 1974. I went to school for awhile after graduation, got married and divorced. I joined the army national guard, went to bootcamp in New Jersey in January, blizzard weather and then to weapons school in Maryland. After three years I did an interservice transfer and changed to the navy. I went to Florida for boot camp and to SanDeigo, CA for Dental Assistant school. I came to Camp Lejeune in 1984 where I worked in the operating room doing facial surgery. I worked in the dental field for 14 1/2 years and then did a career change to teacher assistant. I met my husband, Gary, in 1984 and we married in February of 1985. We have 2 daughters, Lisa and Lesley. I made a career change in 1998 to work in the school system. I have always worked with special needs because thats where my heart is. I was a teacher assistant until December of 06 when I graduated from UNCW. I then came back home to JHS to work.
