Degrees and Certifications:

I believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. It is my desire as a educator to help students meet their fullest potential in these areas by providing an environment that is safe, supports risk-taking, and invites a sharing of ideas.

I graduated from Excelsior College in Albany, New York with a degree in sociology and psychology.  I earned my master’s degree in special education from Phoenix University. This will be my second year that I will be teaching at New Bridge Middle School, in the Exceptional Student department. This year, I will be supporting the 7th grade students in the math and language arts general education classrooms.

I have previously taught in Wake county schools in the Exceptional Classroom teaching middle school math and science for 6-8th grade. Two years ago, my family made the move to the coast and have enjoyed becoming part of the Jacksonville area community.

I am dedicated to providing a high-quality education and an environment where all students can learn, achieve, and develop confidence to meet the challenges of a changing and complex society.     I truly have the best job in the world. My dream was to become an educator, and my dream has come true. I wake up every morning looking forward to teaching and inspiring the wonderful students at New  Bridge Middle School. GO BEARS !!!!
