In the fall of 2013 I completed my student teaching at West Henderson High School under the tutelage of Allen Klaes, David Starnes, and Dr. William Bryant. Bio
I am currently in his ninth year as Director of Bands at Southwest Onslow. I am a native of central North Carolina (Burlington, NC), but I love the mountains as much as I love the beach. I am a graduate of Graham High School (Go Red Devils!) where I was involved with the band, student council, and soccer. My love of music carried me to Western Carolina University after high school, where I studied Clarinet and Music Education and received 2 degrees (Bachelors of Science in Education & Bachelors of Music). During my time at Western Carolina I was very active on campus, performing in the Wind Ensemble, Symphony Band, various small ensembles and collaborated with the Asheville Symphony Orchestra. I also served as a drum major for WCU's "Pride of the Mountains" Marching Band, which performed in Indianapololis, Atlanta, and the 2011 Rose Bowl Parade. I enjoy Pokemon, Magic the Gathering, exploring new music, sports (Go Heels!), and spending time with my 4 year-old Schnauzer-Terrier mix, Ellie.
