Mr. Derick Jenkins

Greetings! My name is Derick Jenkins and I want to welcome you to Stallion Country. I am a SWHS alumni having graduated from here in 1991. Following college graduation with degrees in Economics/Finance/Mathematics I moved out to Nashville Tennessee to work with Pentair, Porter Cable, Delta,Devilbiss,Century,and Lincoln in national accounts. I returned home to NC in 2000 and began working with Western Southern Financial Group as a financial and wealth management advisor in addition to starting my own business in the area rentals,real estate, and investments. I started teaching with Coastal Carolina Community College and in 2002 began teaching math and coaching soccer at Swansboro High. I came back home to SWHS in 2014 and currently teach in the areas of business  and computer science which are part of CTE (Career and Technical Education). We like to say "We teach the skills that pay the bills." I am truly blessed with a wonderful wife and family which are often seen at sporting events and functions here at SWHS. I coach Boys Soccer and Golf and currently serve as CTE Department Head. I look forward to meeting you all and remember "once a stallion always a STALLION!!"
