Cyndi Hewitt, a native of Onslow County was reared in a small rural community located outside of Richlands. Throughout middle school and high school, Mrs. Hewitt was very active in sports playing volleyball and soccer.  After graduating from high school, she attended college and successfully attained an Associate in Arts, Associate in Applied Science focused in Office Systems Technology, and then a Bachelor’s in Business Administration. In May of 2010, with the support of her husband (Lincoln) and two sons (Isaac & Aaron), she grasped her opportunity to enroll in the teacher licensure program with East Carolina University to pursue a teaching career in Business Education.  In June of 2015, Mrs. Hewitt completed a Master in Business Administration degree with Liberty University.

 During her previous employment at Southwest Elementary School, she worked with all grade levels K-5, Title I, and facilitated the Science lab beginning in August 2010. She has also been a part of committees with the most recent being the Yearbook, Fellow Christian Athletes (FCA), and Assistant coach for the volleyball team.

She is an active member in her church (Bethany Baptist Church). In August of 2015 and 2016, Mrs. Hewitt and fellow mission team members had the opportunity to go on a mission trip to the Philippines.  

Mrs. Hewitt and her family throughly enjoy the outdoors as camping is one of their favorite things to do together.  With Mr. Hewitt being a poultry farmer, taking time off for camping can be a challenge sometimes.  Rocky, our family pet is a spoiled rotten golden retriever who loves water and riding the golf cart.
