About The Teacher

Mrs. Jennifer Davis

Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Jennifer Davis

I graduated from Hoggard High School in Wilmington, NC, and then went on to graduate three years later from North Carolina State University with a bachelor's degree in English (teacher education option).  I completed my master's degree in instructional technology and design from East Carolina University in December 2014.

I began teaching in the public school system in January of 2010 at Swansboro High School in the English department.  I then changed teaching fields and started teaching Family and Consumer Science in August of 2010.  In January 2012, I was transferred to White Oak High School, and had the challenge of being new all over again!  Now I'm back at SBHS, and have taken on the position of Career Development Coordinator in addition to my teaching role.  Prior to teaching for Onslow County Schools, I homeschooled my children for three years, and taught on a rotating schedule in a homeschool co-op group for two years.  I also taught childbirth preparation classes for over ten years.  My husband and I currently own and operate a local business.

I have been married since 1992 to my high school sweetheart.  We have three children, ages 23, 21, and 19.  My oldest son is a graduate of NC State University, my alma mater, and a first year law student at Louisiana State University.  My middle son is a senior and soccer player at Life University in Marietta, GA, and my daughter is a sophomore at Horry Georgetown Community College in Conway, SC.
