Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Amanda Bowers

Hello and Welcome!

This is my 3rd year as a Wildcat and I'm so happy to call this community home! Although this is my third year at Richlands High School, it will be my 9th year in Onslow County.  The Spanish language, history, and culture has been the focus of my interest and studies since I first entered high school as a student.  One of my biggest passions is teaching this language, history, and culture through as many methods as possible.    My goal is that with a lot of enthusiasm, resources, and work each and every student will walk out of my classroom inspired. I am excited that this year is the start of getting back to "normal" but I plan to continue to adjust my methods to engage every learner in the safest manner possible.

I studied Spanish and graduated from King's College in Wilkes-Barre, PA in 2011.  I earned my teaching certificate through ECU in 2015.

I am proud to advise the World Language Club. Anyone is encouraged to join, even if you are not enrolled in a Foreign Language class.

I also advise the Student to Student (S2S) organization that welcomes new students and creates the welcoming and positive environment for which Richlands is known.
