About Mrs. Abrams

Hello Pirates! I am Mrs. Abrams, one of the computer teachers, and the Fellowhip of Christian Athletes Leader. I am from Spindale, North Carolina, which is in between Asheville and Charlotte. After graduating from Appalachian State University, my husband and I moved to New Bern. While living in New Bern, I taught Business and Marketing classes at West Craven High School for 6 years. I received my Masters Degree from ECU during this time, and started teaching part time for Craven Community College, as well.

My family moved to Jacksonville in 2015 and I taught Business classes at White Oak High School for the 2015-2016 school year. After a year at WOHS, I persued this job at Swansboro Middle School. I LOVE being a PIRATE and I LOVE teaching middle school! GO PIRATES!

I have three amazing daughters-Charlea, Lyza and Ryan, who each have distinct personalities. When I am not teaching, I am spending time with my daughters, who keep me very active and entertained at the ages of 10, 6 and 5. My family also consists of three dogs-Korky, Caddy and Merry and six cats-Chaco, Annie, Poppy, Creek, Boujie and Rhino. I am a member of Swansboro United Methodist Church and an active volunteer for Island Cat Allies. I am looking forward to another GREAT year! WE'VE GOT THIS PIRATES!!!!!
