Hey Ya'll! I am from Yanceville, NC and my family and I vacation at Emerald Isle yearly.  I decided to move here and was blessed by this wonderful Teaching position here at SBMS. this is my third year here and I love this awesome place.  I absolutely love teaching! I have been teaching Mathematics almost 20 years, 16 in NC. I will be your 8th grade Math Teacher and Math 1. Just so you know, my name is pronounced DEE NOON. Not the morning, not the night, but DE NOON. Get it? ;-)  ~For 13 years I was what you call a Financial Analyst. I analyzed figures in Corporate America. 18 years ago I became a teacher in NC and it is my calling. I have 2 Master’s Degrees (almost 3) ~ I have 3 children ~Benjamin is a Staff Sgt in the Army and a Paratrooper, just getting home from Afghanistan and leaving for Germany.  Blayre, my artist, graduated from Averett University last year, married to an Army LT. and is now a First grade Art teacher at Fort Reilly Kansas. Breelyn graduated SBHS last year and is at CCCC. I am married to Rob DeNune, who is now a Retired Chief in the United States Navy. We moved to Yanceyville for military reasons and that is when I began teaching.I taught part time and still worked as an Accountant!!! After many years I transitioned to Rockingham County as the Math 1 teacher and now I am blessed to be to  live here in the Most beautiful city ever.  I am very family oriented, and it seems my students always become my family. I love what I do and I teach because I am called to Teach, not for any other reason.  We have a household full of pets (Tipper and Lady and Jax). The Lord, My Husband,  my family,  the beach, and teaching you are my life and what I love !
