I was born and raised in Carteret County, Morehead City.  2022-2023 marks my 7th year at SMBS.  I love being a PIRATE!  I graduated from ECU so being a PIRATE really is the only option.  I am part of the 6th grade team and teach Science.  To me, Science is the class where getting things "wrong" is okay.  We can change the parameters of our experiment and do it over.  The job of a scientist is to unprove what has been proven...so keep up with your data and keep on keepin' on.  Outside of school, I enjoy looking for those little corners of our state and country to explore and learn about.  I will visit any Science Museum when given a chance, especially a planterium!  I love spending time with my family and friends, most water sports, and good music.  In the Summers I am a host family for the Morehead City Marlins, so baseball is a fun pastime too.  I now have 1 dog, Bailey, but am hoping to get another soon.
