Mr. Smith has been teaching at White Oak for 15 years. He started as a math teacer, then ten years ago started the Project Lead the Way engineering program. He now teaches four levels of engineering at White Oak.

Mr. Smith has a Master's Degree in Mathematics from East Carolina University.

Mr. Smith has three children. His two daughter are 10 and 4 and his son in 8.

Mr. Smith has been coaching the pole vault for 13 years.
