Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Larose

I grew up in the Berkshire Hills of Western Massachusetts and graduated from Monument Mountain Regional High School (Class of 1990) in Great Barrington.  I graduated from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Secondary Teacher Certification.  I received my National Board Certification for Social Studies - History/Early Adolescence in 2003 and successfully renewed it in 2013.  I recently completed my Master's in School Administration and Instructional Specialist degrees at East Carolina University in May 2015.  I was also the White Oak High School Teacher of the Year for 2016 and one of five finalists for Onslow County Teacher of the Year as well.

I have been in education for the past 29 years.  This is my 25th year serving the students of Onslow County.  I was formerly at New Bridge Middle School for 6 years and am very excited to currently be in my nineteenth year here at White Oak.

The love of my life, Tanya, and I have been married for over 18 years.  We both teach here at White Oak.  She is the Beginning Teacher Coordinator and I am the Head Coach for Men's and Women's Soccer, as well as serving as the Assistant Athletic Director.  We also have a son, Matthew, who is now a student at White Oak.  In my spare time I am active as a leader in the Boy Scouts, like to play golf, and work on projects around the house.
