• Welcome to Northside High School Student Services

    Our Mission:
The mission of the Northside High School Counseling Department is to support and assist all students in reaching their academic potential and to promote excellence through education, collaboration, and empowerment.  Counselors work in collaboration with school personnel, parents, and community resources to advocate for student success. The school counseling program is designed to meet the ethics and standards of the American School Counselors Association and the National Association of College Admissions Counselors, as well as those of Onslow County Schools. The program is designed to provide individual, group and classroom services which address the academic, career, and personal/social development needs of all Northside High School students.

    Our Beliefs:
    1. All students are unique individuals who can achieve and meet their individual academic potential
    and the goals they set.
    2. Students’ developmental needs and achievement are best met.
by implementing a comprehensive school counseling program.
    3. School Counselors must be leaders, advocates, and collaborators
who create equitable access to opportunities.
    4. Data is an important tool in determining the direction and scope of our programs.
    5. School Counselors will make decisions based on the highest moral principles
to promote the maximum development of every student.
