Trexler Middle School was named for Florine B. Trexler, an outstanding educator from the Richlands area. In 1964, Trexler was built as a junior high for the students in our community. To continue to meet the needs of the students in the Richlands area Trexler became the first 6-8 middle school in Onslow County in 1972.
