Degrees and Certifications:

The College of Saint Rose, Albany, NY - Bachelor of Arts in English: Adolescence Education and Masters of Education in School Counseling

Ms. Katherine Siegel

It is nice to meet you! I began working at Hunters Creek Elementary in 2019; prior to moving to North Carolina, I lived in New York and received my Bachelor of Arts in English: Adolescence Education and my Masters of Education in School Counseling degree from The College of Saint Rose.

I am here to help you and your students by providing:

Individual Counseling

Students may be seen for individual counseling, in which I will meet with students short-term to work through problems affecting them at school.

Small Group Counseling

I facilitate small groups for students who have similar needs in a certain area, so that students can learn from each other and grow together.

Guidance Lessons

I will be visiting all classes at HCES to teach guidance lessons. These lessons prioritize Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) for all students, and include self-regulation skills, coping skills, character development, as well as career and college readiness. On the column to the left of this page, you will see a page titled "Remote Social Learning Activities." These are supplemental activities that you can do at home with your children to reinforce these skills.

If you have any concerns about your child, you can contact me at 910-353-4443 or Katherine.Siegel@onslow.k12.nc.us. I am looking forward to having a wonderful year with you and your students!
