Hello Everyone! My name is Kat and I am the Digital Learning and Teaching Facilitator for both Dixon Elementary and Dixon High School. This is my 6th year as a Digital Learning and Teaching Facilitator for Onslow County Schools. I support both teachers and students on using digital resources with instruction. Prior to what I am doing now I taught grades 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades for 8 years. I taught in Pitt County for 2 years and 6 years in Onslow County.
I am from Jacksonville, NC and have been living in Surf City for 10 years. My father was a Marine and my family was lucky to stay put in Jacksonville, which is rare! I am a JHS graduate, and as shown in my Education I am a former Seahawk and Pirate! I have been married since 2005 and we have a son, Paden, who is in first grade!
I am a JHS gradute (2000) and stayed in Jacksonville for college and attended CCCC. I graduated from CCCC (2003) and attended UNCW (2005) where I earned my Bachelor's in Elementary Education. In 2013 I went back to school and attended ECU (2015) and earned my Master's of Education in Instructional Technology.
