They won the county-wide Middle School Tournament, with the support of Coach Bender.
Go Bears!Academic Derby is a quiz bowl style academic competition team with initial tryouts, after school practices, culminating in a full-day tournament. The tournament occurs during the school day against other middle schools in Onslow County. Students interested in trying out should listen for announcements about try-out dates. For try-outs, students will take a high-level, online quiz covering various academic topics. Students from each grade level will be chosen based on quiz scores.
