I graduated from The University of North Carolina at Wilimington with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology and received my Master's Degree in Educational Administration and Curriculum and Instruction from East Carolina University.  I began my teaching career at Dixon High School as a Biology teacher.  I have been an educator in Onslow County for 26 years.

I am originally from Wayne County.  I am married with two children.
