I am the Digital Learning and Teaching Facilitator for Onslow County's two year-round schools, Northwood Elementary and Clyde Erwin Elementary!

I love to help the teachers integrate technology into their curriculum in new and innovative ways! My goal is to provide leadership and to collaborate with teachers, media and technology staff, administration and students to evaluate and select resources addressing curricular needs and learning strategies. I am part of the Instructional Support Team and the School's Strategic Planning Team. I want to assist all of my students and teachers in becoming 21st Century Learners and Leaders! I was awarded Northwood Elementary School's Student Support Educator of the Year award for 2016-2017.


I grew up in Jacksonville, and attended Northwoods Elementary, Northwoods Park Middle and graduated from Jacksonville High School, in 1990! I graduated college with my Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, in 1995. I earned my National Board teaching certification in 2003, and earned my Masters of Education Degree, in Curriculum and Instruction Technology from Grand Canyon University in 2006.​​ I am Microsoft Innovative Educator Certified, have a Microsoft Office Specialist Certifcation in OneNote and have held my Common Sense Media Certification for the past 3 years.



My first teaching job was at Hunters Creek Middle School, in 1998. I taught Keyboarding, Business Computer Technology and Business & Marketing for 7 years. In 2006, I became one of the first Instructional Technology Facilitators for Onslow County Schools! I am beginning my 20th year as an educator in Onslow County Schools, and my 13th as a Digital Learning and Teaching Facilitator (Instructional Technology Facilitator) and I love it! Occasionally. I have taught online Business Education classes for Granville County Schools.
