About Me

  • Hi Panther Families,

Welcome to Hunters Creek Middle School.  I LOVE being a Panther!

A little about myself: I began my teaching career in 1996, spending most of my time here in Onslow County.  Although I am not a North Carolina native, I now call North Carolina home.  I love being outside and enjoy kayaking, visiting new places, and spending time with my husband and daughter.  My father was in the Navy and I moved around during much of my young life and understand how difficult it can be for children from military families.  I look forward to getting to know the many families, military and local, here in the Hunters Creek district.

Steven Covey says, "Leadership is communicating others' worth and potential so clearly that they are inspired to see it within themselves." As an assistant principal of a LEAD school, I look forward to helping others recognize their worth and potential. Middle school is an exciting and challenging time for many young people.  Our students are figuring out who they are in this world and I believe they need the support of their family (school and home), peers, and community, more than any other time in their life.  Welcome to HCMS, where we challenge all who walk through our doors to UNLOCK THEIR POTENTIAL!  Please take time to find a way that you can be a part of helping our students do this by GETTING IN THE GAME!  If you are interested in options, please contact me!

Here's to a wonderful school year!
